Ondres is the spot where professional surfer Joan Duru (European number 1 in 2017) grew up and learned to surf. Nowadays he competes around the globe in the World Surf League, but comes back to his hometown as often as he can to reunite with his family and enjoy the Landes barrels.
Blue Océan « boutique » camping has its own surfing academy.

Beginners and experienced surfers will enjoy our qualified team’s lessons, under Bertrand, the Academy’s Director’s supervision. Indulge yourself and discover new emotions. All the equipment (boards & wet suits) is provided and included. The monitors will ensure your safety.
The Academy is a certified “French Surf School”.

Ocean swimming
Learn how to swim in the waves, pass the shore break, and practice body surfing. Reading of currents, understanding of tides… Individual or group lessons (3 people).
Stand-up Paddle
Discover this new sport, open to all ages. No preparation needed. We will take you to nearby lakes to begin and then you can paddle on calm days in the sea.
Surf Camps
Surf Camps are organized off season for adults (1 or 2 weeks). Our team will take you on different spots of the Basque and Landes region (Hossegor, Biarritz, Guétharry, …).
You can mix surfing with yoga or golf (8 golf courses within 45’).
Accommodation for the participants and their family is provided in Luxury Premium Cottages.
